QUESTION: Councillor G. O'Connell

"To ask the  Manager for an update on the securing of the former HSE premises at Manor Road for community use?"

REPLY:

The HSE has indicated to the Council that the former Health Centre at Manor Road, Palmerston may be made available to the Council in exchange for the freehold title to the site of the Brookfield Health Centre at Brookfield, Tallaght. The Council had previously agreed to dispose by way of lease of the site at Brookfield for a monetary consideration and the matter has not been finalised as yet.

The Council's Chief Valuer has been requested to evaluate the proposed exchange agreement which is necessary for stamp duty purposes and is in discussions with the HSE and its Agent in this regard. On receipt of the Valuer's report and confirmation of the exchange agreement from the HSE,  a report on the matter will be presented to a future meeting of the Council for consideration by the members.
