MOTION NO. 18

MOTION: Councillor T. Delaney

That this Committee expresses its disappointment at the lack of security surrounding the Tower/Nangor Road properties and asks that the Manager explains why there has been no action as per agreement at previous meetings.

REPORT:

The buildings in question were recently inspected and found to be secured against unauthorised access.

The County Architect has been requested to prepare a detailed structural report  to assess the condition of the fabric of the buildings and also to include a detailed examination of the security of the properties and of any measures that could be taken to improve the security as far as available resources permit.
