QUESTION: Councillor E. Tuffy

To ask the Manager to request the Roads Department to check that the Irish version of the signs giving the road/street names in Rossberry Estate are correct, and if they are not will the Council arranged that the incorrect lettering is replaced or new signs installed? 

REPLY:

Rossberry Estate was examined as part of the overall inspection of street nameplates to verify that they had the correct Irish translations. Following the completion of the examination throughout the County, nine signs within Rossberry Estate were included for replacement as part of the overall replacement programme. The Area Engineer has confirmed that the replacement programme is on going and the signs for Rossberry Estate are scheduled for erection within the next month..
