MOTION NO. 5
MOTION: Councillor T. Gilligan
That the manager installs three "CCTV Camera in action" signs at the Eircom Exchange to eliminate illegal dumping. That the Manager also randomly checks the area over a 2 week period between 7-9am weekdays. I want to thank the Manager for putting in time and effort to cleaning this area up and hope that the above measures will save Council time from future illegal dumping.
REPORT:
Following a motion at the September Clondalkin ACM the Litter Warden examined the area and arrangements were made to have the area cleaned.
The Council would not be in favour of erecting signs stating 'CCTV is in operation'. However, the Council does have a mobile camera which changes location every quarter and this location can be added to the list for consideration in the future. The Litter Warden for the area monitors this location on a regular basis but will visit the site over the next two weeks before 9 a.m. and will take the appropriate enforcement action if evidence is found.
