QUESTION NO. 8
QUESTION: Councillor B. Bonner
To ask the Manager if the Council can assist residents in Saggart Village with the refurbishment of the community noticeboard which is to the right of the church in the village. A local group would be prepared to take responsibility for the noticeboard but would need the council staff's skill and expertise to get the board updated. They would like to have a map of Saggart on the noticeboard illustrating the many historic sites in the area. They are very impressed with the material which is available on the council website in relation to historic villages and Saggart in particular. Can they be assisted with this?
REPLY:
The Heritage Officer and staff members in Parks and Landscape Services have been liaising with the Saggart Heritage Group in the last few months to progress a revised heritage map for the display board located outside the church in Saggart village. The most recent version of the revised map was furnished to the local group on Tuesday 6th November and the group is to revert to the Heritage Officer with their final comments.
