QUESTION NO.16
QUESTION: Councillor G. O'Connell
To ask the Manager for a progress report on the naming of major roundabouts / intersections e.g. the M50/N81 and if any consideration has been given to naming major routes, e.g. the N4 Road, as it passes through the County as the “popular” name of “Lucan Road” is quite inaccurate and leads to an anomaly in relation to the existing Lucan Road?
REPLY:
In consultation with the Parks section, a list of Roundabouts and high-profile junctions across the County is currently being finalised. It is proposed to bring a report to each Area Committee commencing in January with suggested names in consultation with the elected members for these roundabouts and high profile junctions.
