WESTON AIRPORT CORRESPONDENCE FROM NAMA

On foot of the motion (M15) approved at the June Area committee meeting regarding Weston Aerodrome the attached correspondence has been received.

For clarification, the report to the original motion is set out below;

‘On foot of a Motion passed at the April Council meeting correspondence issued to NAMA, Kildare County Council and the Ministers for Transport and Environment  in respect of Weston Airport. NAMA responded on 25th April indicating that a Receiver had been appointed to the property. As indicated in the report to the April Motion :"South Dublin County Council does not have resources available to enter into negotiations for significant land acquisition at this time".

However, should the Motion be passed  NAMA will be requested to facilitate a meeting as set out in the Motion.’

On foot of the above the members may wish to consider how they wish to proceed including an agenda for any prospective meeting with NAMA.
