Go dtacaíonn an Coiste seo ráille a chur ar Sheanbhóthatr Belgard in aice leis an bhfaiche in Arda Belgard Tamhlacht atá cosúil leis an gceann ar Radharc Choill an Rí.

That this Committee  supports the installation of a railing on the Old Belgard Road  beside the green at Belgard Heights Tallaght silmilar to the one on Kingswood View.  

REPORT:

Tá sé comhaontaithe go mbeadh sé inmhianaithe ráillí de chineál-pháirce a shuiteáil ar feadh an  éadanas iomlán de na limistéir spáis oscailte ag an mbealach isteach in Arda Belgard, mar a gcuirfeadh sé sin feabhas ar shábháilteacht agus ar luach imirte na spásanna oscailte seo. Ba gá le  mhaoiniú caipitil suntasach timpeall ar € 30,000 na ráillí a shuiteáil ag an láthair seo, Áfach, le haghaidh nach bhfuil aon chistí ar fáil faoi láthair. Tá an Rannóg Páirceanna i dteagmháil le cónaitheoirí Áitiúla sa cheantar le déanaí ag a bhfuil eolas faoi na srianta airgeadais atá ar an gComhairle ag iarraidh an cheist seo a chur chun cinn.

It is agreed that it would be desirable to install park-type railings along the entire frontage of the open space areas at the entrance to Belgard Heights estate, as this would improve the safety and play value of these open spaces. The installation of railings at this location would however, require significant capital funding of the order of €30,000, for which there are no funds currently available. The Parks Section has recently been in contact with local residents in the area who are aware of the financial restrictions on the Council in trying to progress this issue.
