QUESTION NO. 5

QUESTION: Councillor T. Gilligan

To ask the Manager to initiate a clean up of the New Nangor Road between Lidl and Watery Lane on both sides of the road. Can the Manager ensure that grass verges are cleaned before cutting as residents have complained about the mess left behind?

REPLY:

The area will be examined by the Area Engineer in order to determine the level of resources required to undertake the work and the Health and Safety requirements for working along the roadway.

Following this inspection the operations crew will be assigned to carry out the litter pick.

It is the intention of the Scheduled Works Programme to ensure that litter picks are scheduled prior to cutting of grass.
