QUESTION NO. 4
QUESTION: Councillor B. Bonner
The laneway beside Rye Cottage on Boot Road in Clondalkin is a source of constant annoyance to residents. There is a lot of dumping and there is a big problem with graffitti and weed etc. To ask the Manager can an action plan be put in place to tackle this eyesore?
REPLY:
The property Rye Cottage is currently vacant and has been deemed derelict pursuant to the provisions of the Derelict Sites Act l96l. Estate Agents acting on behalf of the owners of the property have confirmed that the property has recently been sold with transaction to be completed within a period of eight to ten no. weeks.
In the interim, the Council's Cleansing Unit has been requested to arrange an early clean up of the laneway adjoining this property.
