MOTION NO.16

MOTION: Councillor W. Lavelle

"That this Committee expresses its deep dismay that the open-space along the access road from Griffeen Avenue to Rossberry, Tullyhall & Haydens Park estate has not yet been taken-in-charge; requests a detailed report on both the status of negotiations regarding this matter and on the options available to the Council to secure the financing of the work required for preparations of necessary legal documentation; and further requests that Council management, at the highest level, give this matter priority attention."

REPORT:

The legal documents in relation to the Taking in Charge of the open space from Griffeen Avenue to Rossberry, Tullyhall & Haydens Park estate have now been received by the Council from the Solicitors acting on behalf of the developer.  These documents are in the process of being examined by the Council’s Development and Law Departments and will, once fully processed, allow for the completion of a Deed of Transfer that will result in the open space being taken in charge by the Council.

The Elected Members will be kept informed of progress on this matter.
