MOTION: Councillor W. Lavelle

"That this Committee requests the Manager, in seeking future NTA funding, to prioritise measures to improve pedestrian and cycle activity, in particular among school-aged children, along Grange Castle Road between Willsbrook/Ballyowen and Lucan Road junctions, including provision of guard-railing at the footpath edge outside Hermitage & Ballyowen Park estates."

REPORT:

The junction with Willsbrook Road can be improved as part of the Willsbrook Road Cycle Track Scheme currently at design stage. The rest of the route will be examined and the concept feasibility study of a proposed scheme will be carried out and if applicable under their guidelines, will be submitted to NTA for funding.
