QUESTION: Councillor E. Tuffy

"To ask the Manager to provide a report on the number of applicants, with current addresses in the Lucan EA, for housing by SDCC and if she will also give information on the number of individuals/families currently SDCC tenants/RAS tenants who are seeking transfers into SDCC housing in the Lucan EA?"

REPLY:

There are currently 10,416 applications on the Council's Housing List, of these 1,615 have address in the Lucan Electoral Area. 

The Council has 700 applications for transfer to alternative accommodation from Tenants of standard Council dwellings of these 323 have expressed interest in North of the Naas Road housing area - 42 individuals and 281 families.  A total of 355 applicants have been transferred to the Rental Accommodation Scheme in Lucan at the end of August 2012.  There are 95 applicants from Lucan seeking transfers to alternative accommodation.
