MOTION: Councillor M. Corr

That the Manager give a report detailing how significant damage occurred to the boundary wall at the entrance to Swiftbrook Estate including how and when this damage will be dealt with.

REPORT:

A section of the brick boundary wall adjoining the open space at the entrance to Swiftbrook Estate was damaged some time ago by a motor vehicle. Arrangements have now been made to have the wall repaired in conjuction with the Roads Department. The Parks Section will commence work on site to repair the wall during the next week. This is the second occasion in the last 12 months that a section of this boundary has been damaged by motor cars requiring reconstruction. The advice of the Roads Department will be sought in relation to additional measures that might be taken to minimise future incidents of this nature.
