QUESTION: Councillor D. Looney

"To ask the Manager to report on all locations in the area under the remit of this Committee where public litter bins have (a) been installed during 2012 or (b) been earmarked for installation in the future, and to make a statement on the matter?"

REPLY:

A total of 23 litter bins have been installed in the County to date in the current year, with 9 of these having been installed in the Tallaght area.  The locations of bin installations in the Tallaght area are as follows - Entrance to Cremorne Estate, Knockmore Estate,  Kilmartin Estate, Knocklyon Avenue bus shelter, Willington bus shelter and Osprey Estate.

A further 10 bins are to be installed in the Tallaght area in the current year at the following locations - St Marks and St Aidans Schools, Alderwood Court, Ard Mhacha/Cul na Greine, Old Bawn Road and Belgard Square North.
