MOTION NO. 21

MOTION: Councillor E. Tuffy

"That the Lucan Area Committee, noting the decision of the Government, to merge the CPLN and DVP Area Based Partnerships, registers its support for the work of CPLN in the Lucan Electoral Area, and requests the Manager to write to the Department of Environment, Community and Local Government, conveying the view of the Committee that it supports the work of CPLN and is of the view that any proposed merger should protect specific projects of CPLN in the Lucan EA, the presence, in terms of location of Partnersrhip and project staff in the CPLN Area, and ensure that the services  provided for communities in the CPLN area, including the Lucan EA, are continued."

REPORT:

If the motion is approved, the mater will be referred to the Department of Environment, Community and Local Government for their attention and when a reply is received the Committee will be notified accordingly.
