MOTION: Councillor C. King

That the Manager provide a small amount of additional passes for the Ballymount Recycling centre to each of the Community Centre’s to be used in a sensible manner in an effort to deal with the possibility of debris being produced on our green spaces during the upcoming Holloween period.

REPORT:

This year the Council will continue its three strand approach to reducing environmental damage at Halloween.

• Communications
• Prevention & Reduction of Bonfire material
• Celebration

As part of the communications drive each household will receive a postcard outlining the positive and negative aspects of Halloween. This postcard will allow free access to Ballymount Civic Amenity on Saturday 27th October. Last entry will be at 5pm, delays may be expected. There will be one entry per household.
