QUESTION: Councillor E. Tuffy

"To ask the Manager if she will make a report on the project in Palmerston involving TUS workers?"

REPLY:

The new Palmerstown Community Centre Board of Management has secured the placement of 3 TUS Workers through CPLN to assist in the day to day operation of the Centre. South Dublin County Council does not have any direct involvement with these TUS workers, but the Council is represented on the Board Of Management.

It is expected that the TUS workers will perform a number of tasks in the facility. The workers met with members of the Board Of Management last week and a schedule of tasks is being drafted as a result. It is expected that the TUS workers will have a key role to play in the successful running of the new centre.
