"That the Manager would contact the Trustees of the Muinter na Tire premises in Lucan Village to explore options through which the Council could work with/assist the Trustees in ensuring that the premises is available for use as a community facility for the residents of Lucan and their organizations."

REPORT:

The Muinter na Tire house in Lucan Village was opened in Nov 1954 and has provided for local needs over the years. During the summer, notification was circulated to user groups to inform them that the future of the building was uncertain. Contact will be made by community services with the stakeholders to identify what are the issues and if the council can assist. Capital funding is not within the scope of the Dept in the current climate.
