The Centre is situated on the second floor of the building at Kennelsfort Road Shopping Centre, and comprises of a hall, two meeting rooms, a kitchen and reception area. There is a voluntary board of management in place, of which the Council has two representatives. The voluntary Board of Management meets approximately every week to make the centre ready for the community. The board of management has secured three Tús workers to operate the day-to-day functions of the centre.

The  Board of management has also completed painting the interior walls inclusive of the common areas on 1st and ground floor. Currently both the kitchen and reception areas are being installed. Palmerston Community Centre is currently operational with user groups providing a variety of activities, such as Citizen Information Service, Order of Malta, Palmerstown Community Council meetings, and Palmerstown Community Festival events,
