QUESTION: Councillor D. Looney
To ask the Manager to provide an update on the numbers of applications under the HAGS, MAGS and HOPS schemes in the area under the remit of this Committee; to ask if the Council can publicise such schemes to target groups through community organisations; and to ask if such information can be collated on a geographical basis in future, e.g. by electoral division.

With regard to your question please see tables below which show a breakdown of the Housing Adaptation Grant for People with A Disability (HAGS), Mobility Aids Housing Grant (MAGS) and Housing Aid for Older People (HOPS) Schemes, showing expenditure in 2012 to date, approvals, and applications on hand i.e. not approved to date i.e. 18th September, 2012.

Please note the Grants Section met with the Greenhills Harvest Fair in September, 2010, through the Dodder Valley Partnership and also met with the Social Work Department, Tallaght Hospital, in October, 2010 with regard to the above application Schemes. Please note the Grants Section can facilitate other community organisations regarding these Schemes and also to highlight the required documentation necessary for the submission of a valid application. With regard to request of details on a geographical basis the Council will endeavour to produce details as requested.
