That this Committee discuss the plans for the Greenhills Road realignment project, including the schemes agreed in 2005-06 to reconfigure the Greenhills and Ballymount Rds, to extend Limekiln Rd to the Greenhills Rd, and to realign the road at Parkview, and the CPO's and works carried out to date.

REPORT:

The proposed road improvement works in the Greenhills, Calmount, Ballymount and Robinhood areas were approved at Part 8 and CPO stages as follows;

 The acquisition of lands has been ongoing and a number of plots has been acquired by SDCC.

Funding has been sought to advance the detailed design / construction stages of the above schemes. Whilst the applications have been unsuccessful to date, SDCC will continue to apply in order to progress the schemes when funding becomes available.
