COMHAIRLE CONTAE ÁTHA CLIATH THEAS
SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY COUNCIL
MEETING OF TALLAGHT AREA COMMITTEE (1)
Monday, September 24, 2012
MOTION NO. 19
MOTION: Councillor M. Duff
That this Committee calls on the Manager to declare the site, on the Mayberry Road, located just past the Maxol Service Station, derlict, as the owners have consistently failed to keep this site in a safe and reasonable condition. The site is completely overgrown and is a blight on the surrounding areas. The other green areas on Mayberry Road are very well maintained by the Residents Assocation and this site takes away from their good work.
REPORT:
A site inspection was carried out on the 14th August 2012 by the Council's Area Engineer and the site has been deemed to be derelict within the definition of the Derelict Sites Act l990.
A Notice under Section ll of the Derelict Sites Act 1990 is in the process of being served on the owners of the site on the Mayberry Road, located just past the Maxol Service Station, requesting that they remove ragworth and cut back the overgrowth. The matter will be monitored by the Council and a further report will be issued to the Councillor.
