COMHAIRLE CONTAE ÁTHA CLIATH THEAS
SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY COUNCIL
MEETING OF CLONDALKIN AREA COMMITTEE
Wednesday, September 19, 2012
MOTION NO. 15
MOTION: Councillor T. Gilligan
That the Council undertake a clean up of the old Eircom phone exchange on the corner of the Old Nangor Road and to erect "no dumping signage" highlighting the fines etc. Thereafter that the Council would monitor the area and investigate any detected breaches of the litter laws.
REPORT:
The Council Cleansing and Operations section will inspect the area to determine the works required to undertake a clean up of the lands surrounding the Old Eircom Phone Exchange site on the Old Nangor Road.
Where there is an ongoing problem of illegal dumping and littering in any area, local residents are urged and encouraged to support the Council in taking the appropriate enforcement action by making reports to the Litter Warden for investigation and by providing evidence and testifying in court either individually or as a collective group of residents.
It is not the policy of South Dublin County Council to erect "No Dumping" signs throughout the County.
