MOTION NO. 19

MOTION: Councillor B. Bonner

This Committee resolves that the proposed new access points onto the greenway cycle and walking path along the canal in South West Clondalkin only be proceeded with following comprehensive discussion with local residents so that the objections of residents can be taken into account.

REPORT:

In accordance with the Planning and Development Act 2000 and the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (Part 8), a public consultation exercise has commenced as approved by the elected members at the Clondalkin ACM in June (report).  The Part 8 for the proposed paths from Ashwood to the Grand Canal went on public display from Thursday 2nd August 2012 until Thursday 13th September 2012.  Written submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development may be made in writing to arrive no later than 5.00 p.m. on Thursday 27th September 2012.

A further report will be presented to the elected members for consideration which will take account of all observations and submissions received as part of the public consultation.
