Permeability Project at Dargle Wood.

With regard to the gate installed earlier this year to provide access for Parks Department vehicles to the open space at Dargle Wood; the use of the entrance by Parks Department vehicles was monitored over the particulary wet summer. The Parks Department report no difficulty in accessing the open space at the current location. Should this situation change the position of the vehicular gate can be reviewed.  The existing street trees are not affected by the use of the entrance by Parks Department vehicles. It is proposed to install a dropped kerb at this location to facilitate access and prevent damage to the footpath.
