QUESTION: Councillor M. Devine

To ask the Manager to provide a copy of terms agreed with the owners of the Funfair that takes place in Tymon Park annually?

REPLY:

Expressions of interest were recently invited by public advertisement for circus and funfair sites in the South Dublin County Council administrative area for the period 2012 - 2014 inclusive. Three sites were advertised:  Tymon Regional Park, Corkagh Regional Park and Griffeen Regional Park. The closing date for expressions of interest was 23rd March 2012. The sites were awarded to Xtreme Funfair, Mounthanover, Duleek, Co. Meath, subject to the terms and conditions as outlined in the tender document attached.

A date has not yet been agreed with the operator for the holding of a funfair in Tymon Park in 2012.
