MEETING OF SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY COUNCIL

Monday, September 10, 2012

QUESTION NO. 25

QUESTION:  Councillor T. Ridge

To congratulate Parks Dept; on acquiring new fitness equipment at Corkagh Park and in view of huge numbers of park users is there any possibility of some of the pathways being repaired.

REPLY:

The recent completion of the installation of outdoor exercise equipment in eleven parks throughout the county has been very favourably received by the public.

The majority of the footpath system in Corkagh park is in very good condition. There are, however, a number of sections of the main avenue, which is subject to daily use by maintenance and staff vehicles, which are in need of resurfacing. Quotations are being sought for this work so that the matter can be considered as part of the budgetary process for 2013.
