To ask the Manager if she can advise the meeting what percentage of owners of residential properties in the County liable for the Household Charge had paid the charge by 30th June 2012?

REPLY:

The Household Charge Bureau, under the aegis of the Local Government Management Agency, processes payments in respect of the Household Charge on behalf of all Local Authorities.

It is estimated that there are 81,822 residential properties liable for the household charge in South Dublin County Council's administrative area.  The number of household charge registrations that have been processed for payment as at the 28th June 2012 is 46,142, giving a percentage of  56.4% who have paid. and generating revenue of €4,639,854. ( i.e. € 4,614,200 in charges and € 25,654 in penalties )
