MOTION NO. 15

MOTION: Councillor W. Lavelle

"That this Committee, further to the motion passed at the April County Council Meeting, requests the County Manager to seek to schedule a meeting with NAMA, to be attended by a delegation comprising the Manager and elected members, to discuss the future of Weston Airport." 

REPORT:

On foot of a Motion passed at the April Council meeting correspondence issued to NAMA, Kildare County Council and the Ministers for Transport and Environment  in respect of Weston Airport. NAMA responded on 25th April indicating that a Receiver had been appointed to the property. As indicated in the report to the April Motion :"South Dublin County Council does not have resources available to enter into negotiations for significant land acquisition at this time".

However, should the Motion be passed  NAMA will be requested to facilitate a meeting as set out in the Motion.
