MOTION NO. 26

MOTION: Councillor E. Higgins

"That the Manager provide an update on the installation of excercise equipment trails at Hermitage Park, Griffeen Valley Park and Waterstown Park."

REPORT:

The ground works for the installation of equipment has been completed for all three Parks.  Following consultation with local residents it is proposed to relocate 4 items from Hermitage Park to Mt Andrew open space.  Maps indicating the location of equipment are available at the meeting.

The company have advised that they are expecting delivery of the first consignment in the third week in July and installation of equipment will commence on a countywide basis upon its delivery.  The second consignment is being shipped on 26^th June and will arrive 4-6weeks later, following which the remaining equipment will be installed.
