"That this Committee calls on the Manager to report on the work due to take place on what is known as the Old Lucan Road Palmerstown in 2012 and to include the upgrading of this cul de sac with its footpaths in the estimates for 2013.  The people were promised during the building of and upgrading of the M50 and M50 Bridge that this road would be restored but this has never happened to a satisfactory degree."

REPORT:

The Area Engineer has included in his 2012 works programme for the repair / replacement of footpaths in Palmerstown Village in the vicinity of the Ulster bank. Tenders will be invited for this work in July 2012. The western section of the Old Lucan Road is generally in a reasonable state of repair. However, further repairs at the western end of the village will be considered for inclusion in the 2013 works programme subject to resources.
