QUESTION: Councillor G. O'Connell

"To ask the Manger
(a) why are some of the litter bins in Palmerston covered in plastic
(b) can litter bins be fitted please at the entrances to Glenaulin and Waterstown Park?"

REPLY:

(a) The litter bins in question are damaged due to the absence of an internal liner and were wrapped in plastic to prevent people disposing of waste material. They are scheduled for removal and new bins will be installed.

(b) The Foreman in Cleansing has been requested to inspect the areas in Glenaulin and Waterstown Park to determine the best location for bins.
