QUESTION: Councillor W. Lavelle

"To ask the Manager, further to my question at the April meeting, to provide a detailed update on the Drainage Section’s investigation of problems relating to sewers at Lucan Heights and Beech Park?"

REPLY:

The Drainage Maintenance Section is not aware of any major foul sewerage problems in the Lucan Heights/Beech Park areas of Lucan. The Drainage Maintenance Section does not get called out regularly to unblock sewers in these areas. There is a foul sewer in front of 117 to 114 Lucan Heights and another one beside the shops in Beech Park which have very flat gradients and which need to be flushed from time to time to stop any build up of solids but these are programmed into our work schedules.
