MOTION: Councillor E. Higgins

"That the Manager to examine issues relating to access to the laneway to rear of houses at Woodfarm/Red Cow Cottages, in particular in the vicinity of the access road to the side of No. 1 Woodfarm Cottages and corner to the rear; including consultation with local residents on taking-in-charge of this laneway and side access road should it be required?"

REPORT:

The access road ajacent to No. 1 Woodfarm Cottages is in charge of The Council. It is the access road only along the full property length of No. 1. The continuation of this laneway to the rear of all the properties 1-8 Woodfarm Cottages and 1-8 Red Cow Cottages is not Taken In Charge. Because the Laneway to the rear is not of general public utility and would require siginificant expenditure including land acquisition to be brought to a Taking In Charge standard, there is no benefit to South Dublin County Council in taking this matter forward.
