MOTION NO.6

MOTION: Councillor P. Kearns

That this Committee calls on the Manager to arrange for the Orwell Roundabout and the Templeville/ Greentrees Roundabout be brought back to a high standard as soon as possible.

REPORT:

The roundabouts are under regular maintenance and are being maintained to the highest standard possible, having regard to the Health & Safety requirements applicable and consistent with the resources currently available to undertake this work.

In relation specifically to the Templeville/Greentrees roundabout it is proposed to redesign this to allow for a simpler maintenance programme consistent with the available resources and Health and Safety requirements.  The implementation of a redesigned roundabout landscape will be dependent on the allocation of the necessary resources to do so.
