MOTION: Councillor C. King
That this Committee calls on the Manager to arrange for additional anti social resources to be applied to *Address Supplied to ensure the Community, in conjunction with An Garda Síochánna, SDCC and other stakeholders, can tackle a local gang of youths who are threatening to destroy the good spirit and good name of the Estate as a result of their ongoing Anti-Social and Criminal Activities.

REPORT:
There is currently 2 dedicated Anti Social officers who are available to deal with complaints of anti social behaviour for the area which incorporates this specific address. The anti social officers for the area recently met with residents and other stakeholders involved in the Estate and the Voluntary Housing Body who also have housing units there to discuss various concerns in relation to anti social behaviour. The Anti Social officers are currently liaising with the Gardai in relation to recent complaints from this area and investigations are ongoing. Contact is also being made with the Residents in the Estate to develop a robust working and communications relationship to deal with the problems as effectively as possible
