QUESTION: Councillor W. Lavelle

To ask the Manager to seek an update from the National Transport Authority on the planned review of bus routes and services, which the NTA's advised of in their most recent presentation to the Transportation SPC?

REPLY:

We have received the following reply from the NTA:

The NTA is continuing to undertake financial and operational reviews of the Dublin Bus Network direct project as each phase is implemented. A wider review of the public transport network of services operated by both Dublin Bus and Bus Éireann under Public Service Contracts with the Authority will be undertaken in advance of those contracts ending in December 2014 with new contracts being either directly awarded or entered into following competitive tender.
