MOTION NO.7

MOTION: Councillor W. Lavelle

That this council requests that the proposed review of the Parking Bye-Laws be brought forward to the the second half of 2012.

REPORT:

Previous parking bye laws have required an extended time for preparation and public consultation prior to consideration by the Councillors.  In order to fully inform any decision, an undertaking to carry out ‘parking use surveys’ of the existing controlled parking has been made.  These surveys will be scheduled for the Autumn and will in effect facilitate commencement of the Bye Law process later this year.
