SDCC REPRESENTATION / VACANCY ON BOARD OF DODDER VALLEY PARTNERSHIP (COUNCILLOR E. WALSH)

REPLY:

The following report was presented to the Members at the Organisation, Procedure and Finance Committee Meeting held on 24th May 2012:

"The term of the current Directors of the Board of the Dodder Valley Partnership, including SDCC representatives, expired on 21st March 2012.

Councillor P. Cosgrave was appointed and Councillors M. Duff and P. Kearns were re-appointed to the Dodder Valley Partnership at the April 2012 Council meeting.  Councillor E. Walsh tendered his resignation from the Partnership at the March OP&F meeting, and it is now a matter for this Council to nominate a replacement to fill the vacancy.

In considering the nomination regard should be given to previous correspondence from the Dodder Valley Partnership which requested that the Council consider nominating Councillors from the Tallaght Central, Tallaght South & Rathfarnham (formerly Terenure / Rathfarnham) areas to the Partnership."  End of Report to OP&F.

It was proposed by Councillor W. Lavelle, seconded by Councillor T. Ridge and RECOMMENDED: 

“That Councillor B. Lawlor be appointed to fill the vacancy on the Board of the Dodder Valley Partnership arising from Councillor E. Walsh's resignation.”

This matter is now before the Council for approval.
