MEETING OF LUCAN AREA COMMITTEE

Tuesday, May 22, 2012

MOTION NO. 7

MOTION: Councillor G. O'Connell

Cathaoirleach's Business

"That the Council have the gates across the former Lucan Road to the rear of Palmerston Petrol Station removed and replaced by a raised flower bed so that the local Tidy Towns Committee can renovate this area in a manner in keeping with the residential character of the area."

REPORT:

The gates in question are located at the eastern end of Palmerston Village and to the rear of the petrol station. It is an area that is not greatly used by pedestrians. The cost of removing these gates and constructing a flower bed is estimated to cost in the region of €2,000. Currently there is no budget for this work.
