QUESTION: Councillor M. Duff

"To ask the Manager if he will make a report regarding the litter removal regime in Tallaght Village and will he confirm if the "green machine" is still in daily operation in the Village and if he intends to continue with this service?"

REPLY:

A member of the cleansing staff is assigned to Tallaght village to maintain the area Monday to Friday. The staff member operates both the Handcart and the Green machine and this service will continue to operate.

The operative assigned to the area between the Old Blessington Road and the Belgard Road has recently retired and his duties will now be covered by a crew in the Cleansing section.
