MOTION: Councillor T. Ridge

That the Manager report on what time line is there with regard to the most welcome Valhalla residence at Watery Lane, Clondalkin being ready for occupation.

REPORT:

The Council, in conjunction with Clanmil Housing Association Ireland Limited, is providing an integrated sheltered housing project of 10 dwellings and one staff office unit in this development. The accommodation layout consists of 5 no.  1 bedroom ground floor units (including four special needs units), 4 no. 1 bedroom units and 1 no. 2 bedroom duplex on the first and second floors. All units will be fully accessible with own door access.

The construction contract for Valhalla is a 15 month one which began in November 2011. The works are progressing on schedule and look set to be completed by the target completion date of January 2013.
