That this Committee be updated on the current situation, whether works have been completed or are still ongoing with regard to the replacement of water pipes in the Rowlagh Park / Crescent area of Clondalkin where the water pipes were frozen for a prolonged period the Winter before last.

REPORT:

Approximately 30% of the houses in Rowlagh Estate that are listed as having frozen services during the very cold weather in the winter of 2010/2011 have had their services relayed and lowered in the footpath outside their houses. The Water Maintenance Section intends to return to Rowlagh Estate to lower more of these services later in the year but at the moment the Water Maintenance Section with it's limited resources is lowering services that froze previously in other parts of the South Dublin County Council area most recently in Springfield in Tallaght.
