QUESTION NO. 1
QUESTION: Councillor B. Bonner
Several constituents in Clondalkin have contacted me with complaints that Greyhound are overcharging for bins in that the weight they are charging for is often significantly heavier than the actual weight of the bin. Can the manager assist with this issue as Greyhound are refusing to communicate with the customer in relation to the problem. Alternately, who can assist customers with this type of issue?
REPLY:
This Council has no input or involvement in the pricing or charging mechanisms of private sector companies in the waste collection sector. The competitive nature of the market should ensure that consumers can choose a service provider that is competent and suitable to their needs.
