MEETING OF SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY COUNCIL

Monday, May 14, 2012

QUESTION NO.19

QUESTION: Councillor E. Tuffy

To ask the Manager if she will provide an up to date report on the implementation of the two Projects started in 2010 under the Mayor's Initiative, ie the Balgaddy Project and the MacUiliam Estate Project in Tallaght?

REPLY:

The County Architect reports that all works as planned have now been completed at McUilliam Estate in Tallaght and Balgaddy in Clondalkin at a total cost of €1.5m which is the amount allocated by the DOECLG.

The Multi Use Games Area surface at Balgaddy has been badly vandalised recently.  The Council is currently assessing the damage involved to ascertain what the financial implications are to the Council. Some other minor additional works as agreed at the consultation phase will be completed in the near future.

The CCTV at Balgaddy was vandalised and requires some remedial repairs which are commissioned.
