QUESTION NO. 8
QUESTION: Councillor W. Lavelle
To ask the Manager, further to the motion agreed at the January meeting, to report on the council’s review of outdated signage for capital construction projects and superfluous signage and other urban clutter in Architectural Conservation Areas?
REPLY:
A review of the need for these signs is carried out annually. A County wide survey is underway to identify superfluous signage with a view to its removal where appropriate and the survey has commenced in the areas of Architectural Conservation, the expected timescale for completion of the survey is June 2012. Removal of signage identified as superfluous will follow thereafter.
