QUESTION: Councillor A.M. Dermody

"To ask the Manager for a report on the availability of adequate parking around the Health Centre off the Grange Road.  I have reports of older people and mothers with young babies not being able to park while attending the clinic?"

REPLY:

The Health Centre on Dispensary Lane, Grange Road is situated on a narrow road.  A local one way system is in operation and parking is restricted to one side of the road by way of a single yellow line operational 08:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday.  A disabled parking space is also provided. Residential access is required into private properties adjacent to the Health Center.

Parking on nearby public roads is permitted where appropriate.  All public parking near the Health Centre is unrestricted and can not be designated for any particular user.  It is possible, that at busy times the demand for parking exceeds the space available on Dispensary Lane and those attending their clinic will have to utilise more distant parking.
