QUESTION: Councillor E. Tuffy

To ask the Manager if the Environmental Services Department is or will be taking measures to have the large advertising hoarding on the grass verge on the left hand side of the entrance road from Griffeen Avenue to Hayden's Park, Tullyhall and  Rossberry estates removed?

REPLY:

The Council's Litter Warden issued a fine pursuant to the provisions of the Litter Pollution Act 1997 to Sherry Fitzgerald late last year.  This fine has since been paid.

The Environment Department Enforcement section will now write to Sherry Fitzgerald to instruct them to remove the sign immediately.  If the sign is not removed, further enforcement action will be taken against Sherry Fitzgerald.
