QUESTION: Councillor B. Lawlor

"To ask the Manager to remove the damaged sleepers and repair any  loose sleepers in Firhouse Village Park?"

REPLY:

The Parks and Landscape Services Section is proposing to remove all of the railway sleepers from Firhouse Village Park and replace them with a combination of low stone wall and railings. These works will be subject to the identification of the necessary finance required to implement them.

In the meantime, the existing railway sleepers will be examined to determine the level of remedial works required to repair / stabilise them.
